Privacy Policy

We collect information you give us directly—email address when subscribing to our newsletter, and any other details you voluntarily provide via forms or direct contact. We only ask for what's necessary.

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect usage details (traffic data, pages visited, logs), device information (IP address, OS, browser type), and data gathered via cookies and tracking technologies including Google Analytics.

We use collected data to operate and maintain the Site, improve content and features, send opt-in marketing communications, respond to inquiries, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers (hosting, email, analytics), when required by law, in business transfer events (with prior notice), or with your explicit consent.

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Meritocrat uses Google OAuth to request your explicit authorization for the Google Calendar Events permission (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events). With that permission, Meritocrat may access event details needed to display scheduled events in the Platform and may create, update, or delete an event only when you request the corresponding calendar action. Meritocrat does not use this permission to create, modify, or delete calendars, and it does not access Google Calendar unless you connect your account.

Google Calendar data is used only to provide and secure the calendar features you request. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use Calendar event data to train or fine-tune artificial-intelligence models. We disclose it only to service providers acting on our behalf as necessary to operate and secure the integration, when required by law, or at your direction. Meritocrat's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We retain Google authorization tokens and synchronized Calendar data only for as long as needed to provide the connected feature, maintain security, comply with law, or resolve legitimate disputes. You may disconnect Google Calendar in Meritocrat's account settings or revoke Meritocrat's access through your Google Account permissions at https://myaccount.google.com/connections. Revocation stops future Google Calendar access. To request deletion of stored Google Calendar data, contact legal@meritocrat.us; we will delete it subject to limited legal, security, and backup-retention obligations.

We use essential cookies for site function, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) for usage insights, and tracking cookies for understanding user interests. You can opt out of Google Analytics via tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You may opt out of marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email. Contact legal@meritocrat.us to exercise any right.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including SSL encryption. No internet transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact legal@meritocrat.us immediately.
