Welcoming April Padilla and Lori Bruun as Advisors
Two former USCIS immigration officers have formally joined Meritocrat as advisors, reviewing our evaluation framework and helping launch Expert Advisors on the platform.
When we set out to validate Meritocrat, we went straight to the people who judge these cases in the real world.
We spoke with immigration attorneys, several of whom welcomed the framework warmly. Then we went a step further and reached out to two former USCIS immigration officers: the people who actually adjudicated petitions like the ones our users are building.
From feedback to formal support
April Padilla and Lori Bruun accepted our invitation. They listened, they challenged us, and over time they moved from giving feedback to officially supporting what we're building.
Today, we're making it official: both have formally joined as advisors, reviewing our evaluation framework from the inside and offering recommendations on it.
The first experts on Expert Advisors
April and Lori are also among the first experts on our new Expert Advisors platform, where Meritocrat users can connect directly with vetted immigration professionals for general information based on their knowledge and experience.
